A: Details of how to advertise on our site are shown on our Advertise Page.

myElectrical Site

Q: How can I give feedback if I have any issues, problem or suggestions on your site?

A: You can use our Contact Us Page to send feedback.  In addition to this link there is a link on the footer of every page in our site.

Q: Is it possible to use Windows Live Writer to add posts to the site?

A: Yes you can use this (or any other third party editor which supports the MetaWeblog API) to write and manage your posts.  For a more detailed explanation, please see Windows Live Writer and myElectrical.

Q: I want to add a post to the site – should I do this in the Opinion or Notes section?

A: You can find an explanation of the difference between Opinion and Notes on our Policy Page.   If your giving some opinion, letting us know about a great resource, reviewing something, etc. then post in the Opinion section.  If your post is a text book type article, technical reference information, etc. then post in the Notes section.

Using the Editor

Q:  How can I enter Greek letters and other special math’s symbols when using the editor?

A:  These can be entered as HTML entities.  You can view this page [HTML Symbol Entities] for instructions and a list of available symbols.  It is also possible to enter these using the equation editor, although this is not recommended as the symbols will be entered as images which take time to load and don’t line up nicely with the text.

Questions

Q: Can I attach a sketch to my question to better explain the problem?

A: The question module does not directly support the use of attachments.   If you need to attach a sketch, you can upload this to the Document Library, under the Tools section of the site and refer to it in your question.
