Moulded Case Circuit Breakers suitable for Motor Applications, generally would not have a thermal trip element. They would only have magnetic trip.

Hi,

What is the specific application? If you have a thermal magnetic breaker, then it is not possible to deactivate the thermal element alone. However if you are planning to procure new breaker, breakers with only magnetic release I.e only short circuit releases are commercially available. Typically this application will be provided as incomer or main circuit breaker of D.G sets.

Thanks
