Earth/Ground Fault Cable Sizing


How to calculate ground fault current of the equipment, transformer and generator in order to size the earth cable for them?

The ground fault current depends upon the system voltage, the type of system earthing and the impedance in the fault path.

Similarly, the ground conductor sizing depends upon the magnitude and duration of the earth fault current, the material, size & method of installation of the ground conductor.
