Cables for MV Power Distribution - Earthed versus Unearthed Systems

Power cables can basically be classified into earthed and unearthed cables, where earthed and unearthed refer to the application for which the cable is used. Earthed system refers to a three phase system whose star point is grounded directly and the voltage between the healthy phases and the ground will be - 11kV/1.732 or 6.6/1.732.
